So, now that I've made it clear that THIS BLOG WILL HAVE NOTHING DO TO WITH ENCHANTED, I can move on to what it really is all about: us. And our life. And our house. Our marriage, house, and projects are equal parts his and hers--though you'll only hear about them from her. After all, she is the one with a VIP card to Joann's. He's mainly the willing chauffeur for said VIP.
We share our home with our sweet baby girl, Kenley, who was born on October 12th. She is our cutest project to date. :)
By day, Rick's job is to dispense medicine (legally) in a long-term care facility. My job used to be teaching adolescents why English matters, but now I'm a stay-at-home mama to that precious peanut above.
The last thing to know about us is that our fondness for hot gluing and painting our home's earthly treasures should not fool you: our real treasure is in heaven, and we thank the Lord daily for his goodness, provision, and grace. Without Him, we would have nothing. Because of this, we don't take this "let's make our home pretty" thing too seriously, and we're far more likely to laugh than curse about some project going wayward.
"Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth...and if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve....
But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
Joshua 24: 14-15

ReplyDeleteIs it weird to like you...er...your blog so much, so fast? You had me at Enchanted. "I've been dreaming of a...". You shoud stop me...or not. We could sing and twirl together.
ReplyDeleteThen...you had me a the VIP card. Oh yeah. We are card twins.
Next...you had me at...I forgot. Something about English...10th graders...flying shoes. I don't know. I just know I'm gonna like it here. (And yes, I am aware "gonna" isn't a real word. At least I didn't just say "ain't".)
Oh, and you should know, I leave very detailed, random, sometimes non-sensical comments.
Is non-sensical a word? Now I feel self-conscious. ;)
(Love that verse!)

Stopping by from SITS Girls Comment Love Tribe. My husband is so NOT a DIY-er, else I would have him helping out with my hot glue projects, too. Have a great day!
