Ladies and gentlemen(?), please get out your planners, because you have a homework assignment. And it is due in exactly nine days. Yes, the first Random Acts of Craftiness deadline is looming over us much like the Lincoln Monument looms over the National Mall in D.C., dramatic and commanding…
Actually, it’s nothing like that.
But I finally completed my project over the weekend.
And that is dramatic, because I’ve been big-time procrastinating on that and pretty much every other non-school project. So when Rick not-so-casually reminded me on multiple occasions that I only had x number of days to make that project for that challenge I dreamt up, I realized I had better get on it.
I’ll give you a hint: I used this game.
What stage of completion are you in? Finished? Almost finished? Know what you’re doing but don’t have the supplies? Haven’t even started? I am being a good teacher and checking in to make sure nobody has any questions about the assignment…and to gently encourage slackers efficient time-users to get going. I can’t wait to see what everyone comes up with! :)
I'm pretty stuck, trailed around the charity shops this weekend but couldn't find any suitable games. Really better pull my finger out!! xox
ReplyDeleteI'm finished my projects and am excited to link them up. :)
ReplyDeleteI dont know why because Im usually pretty crafty but for some reason I cant think of a thing to make. Well honestly I can think of a few but they are so done and boring I dont dare :/. Ill keep thinkin!! I cant "wait" to see what you all did!!!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Sandra and Ashleigh....still trying to figure something out!! I haven't even heard of the game you used, Erin - I'm sure you came up with something fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI have my supplies (well, part of them) but I'm not sure what I'm going to make yet!!
ReplyDeleteDear Teach,
ReplyDeleteSupplies and idea are complete. Just need that whole execution thing.
I need to remember to post something about this on my blog. That's your homework....remind me to post something on my blog. :P
Sincerely,
Favorite Student
I'm definitely a procrastinator! I haven't found a GoodWill board game that inspires me yet! Arg! Looks like I need to make a thrift store run on my lunch break today...
ReplyDeleteI finished last night! Now I just need to take pictures. :)
ReplyDeleteI have been mulling this over for weeks now! I have had 100 ideas but none were good enough or do-able enough. I finally decided last night and that is the hardest part for me- deciding on a plan. Going to get supplies today and start working on it tonight/this week! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
ReplyDeleteI'm on Plan B now. My letter sorter made out of dominos didn't work out. Fail-o-rama. But I have most of the supplies on hand for my fall back craft and I'm psyched to get it done. And I seriously can't wait to see what everyone else came up with! Thanks for checking in :)
ReplyDeleteI'm in the "oh holy crap how am I going to do that amongst hosting a giant half surprise birthday party this weekend and finish cleaning my house before people start arriving" stage.
ReplyDeleteI need to drop off a bunch of stuff at Restore anyway, so hopefully I can at least find a game even if I don't get it done until the hours before it's 'due'.
Yep, I haven't started. Basically, I'm in the "we-just-finished-our-kitchen-reno", "I'm-4-months-preggo-and-tired-all-the-freaking-time" and "I'm-planning-my-brother-in-law's-rehearsal-dinner-for-85-people-in-3-weeks" stages. It might not happen this time...
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the saw dust to settle -- figured I'd comment...
ReplyDeleteCan I just say, antique malls & thrift stores in the Greater Phoenix area believe their oviously-well-used-who-knows-if-all-the-pieces-are-there-in-the-busted-box games to be manufactured of gold. Seriously?! $20 for Uno?!
So I bought a game, but the problem is it's a game I really like and don't have. We'll see if I actually do the project I had intended or if I just play the game. :)
ReplyDeleteI can't find any board games, but I did find some pieces and somehow made something this weekend. I'm not sure I followed the rules, though. Always exciting over here!
ReplyDeleteI am not playing along because all of my crafty supplies are in storage but I am so excited to see what other people come up with!
ReplyDeleteI feel like I work best under pressure...or at least, that's the excuse I am using :). I have a game, which I tried to send your way, just waiting to be inspired by it. I can't wait to see what you have done and what everyone else does.
ReplyDeleteHave my idea, have the game pieces and other supplies but with a week left I feel like there's LOTS of time to ge tit together. Why do today what you can rush to get done another day?
ReplyDeleteI cannot WAIT to see what everyone comes up with. That's a tough assignment teach:)
ReplyDeleteI haven't even started. ugh. I fail.
ReplyDeleteI would say I am about 75% done and I really hope I have a chance to finish it...I'm not saying', I'm just saying' its pretty great ;)
ReplyDelete**CRINGE**
ReplyDeleteHaven't even started yet. Haven't even STARTED to start. Yikes! This month has really gotten away from me. I don't even have the FIRST idea.
This is embarrassing.
You have been justifiably distracted, but I'm not letting you off easy!

I'm ready, photos taken.

It's the night before the assignment is due and I haven't started. Eeek! I have the game, some of the supplies and almost no time. I'm going to try to pull this off. Wish me luck.
